Born in San Angelo, Texas, September 18, 1957. Family moved to Fort Worth until we built our own house on a farm outside Hillsboro, Texas. Hillsboro High School Salutatorian in 1976. Graduated Summa cum Laude from Southern Nazarene University (OKC) in 1980 with Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Arts degree in 1982, then Magna cum Laude at Nazarene Theological Seminary in 1985 in Kansas City.
I pastored four churches in Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado. I taught at Nazarene Indian Bible College in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for seven years while also serving as Dean of Student Life then taught at Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, for three years while also serving as division chair and internship director.
I have taught Geometry at Liberal High School since 2008. I have also taught College Algebra, Algebra III, and KMA. I also served as a substitute teacher for six years in Hooker, OK for ISD 23 and at Liberal for USD 480 prior to being employed full-time in 2008. In addition, I have taught at Seward County Community College as an adjunct instructor in both Intermediate Algebra and College Algebra for eight years. I enjoy making a difference in students' lives as I mentor them with math skills and real world skills.

I have earned an endorsement in ESOL from Kansas State University so I can assist ESL learners more adequately due to the demographics in our community. I am also an AVID elective teacher having been trained in a Summer Institute in Denver, Colorado in 2015, tutorials workshop in Norman, Oklahoma, and study groups collaboration in Liberal, Kansas. I attend annual ongoing professional development workshops that USD 480 offers each semester as well as in-service teacher trainings.
1985 to 1994 I taught 25 different courses primarily in Bible, church history, and theology at Nazarene Indian Bible College in Albuquerque, New Mexico while also serving as Dean of Student Life and college recruiter.
1995 to 1998 I taught Bible and theology courses at Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado while also serving as Division Chair of Biblical Studies and Internship Director (students were required to log 90 hours, work with a pastor and college professor, and had the option of hospital volunteer chaplaincy for 30 hours).
My hobbies include gardening, playing with our two dogs (Domino is a Blue Heeler and Ginger is a Red Australian Heeler), cooking, and playing table games.
