I graduated in 1991 from William Allen High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I went on to attend Cedar Crest College in Allentown, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1995. I started my education degree at Cedar Crest College, then moved to Liberal in 1996 attending both Seward County and Newman University. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Newman University in 1997. I have gone on to take masters level course from Fort Hays State University, Newman University, and Washburn. I am planning on earning my masters in the future.

I started teaching at Liberal High School in 1999, after substitute teaching for two years and student teaching in the district. I teach second chance science on Monday nights from 3:25 - 6:15 in room 231. I teach Honors Environmental Science and AVID. I am a sponsor for National Honor Society. I currently hold the following positions Science Department Chairperson, LHS Building Improvement Team, and the AVID Site Team.
